Mary Valentine Wanjiru is the CEO and Managing Director of Valdaven Limited. She leads the company’s growth, its partnerships with suppliers and its relationships with clients across Kenya.
Mary trained as a microbiologist and biotechnology professional. She began her career in quality assurance and quality control, building a strong grounding in laboratory diagnostics, pharmaceutical standards and regulatory compliance at M.P. Shah Hospital and TruPharma.
She went on to carry out microbial analysis at KEMRI’s Food Handlers Laboratory, work that supports food safety and public health, and to research bacteriophages and molecular techniques at the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research. She continues to build her skills in bioinformatics and genetic sequencing.
Alongside her scientific work, Mary developed practical experience in purchasing, supply chain management and international trade, including handling imports and exports with Dreamworth.
That combination shapes how Valdaven works. From the laboratory, she brings close attention to quality, standards and the details that keep products safe to use. From trade, she brings an understanding of how to source reliably and deliver on time. Together, they sit behind the promise in Valdaven’s mission: to supply and deliver trust.
